Billy Gilmour’s loan at Norwich City is set to continue.
The Scottish international joined the newly promoted club on a season long loan in the summer, but Chelsea were considering recalling him because of his lack of game time under Daniel Farke.
The German insisted it was not his job to develop players for other clubs.
However, with Dean Smith now in charge at Carrow Road, Gilmour has found himself restored to the starting line-up at Carrow Road, and was named Man of the Match in their goalless draw with Wolves on Saturday.
There is now confidence that he will enjoy regular first-team football for the rest of the campaign, which is why he was sent on loan in the first place, and means that Chelsea have one less problem to deal when the January window opens.
