Barcelona have enquired about the availability of both Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.
Both have largely been confined to back-up roles this season, starting just six league games between the pair of them, although they did combine to score Chelsea’s fourth goal in the Champions League thrashing of Juventus on Tuesday night.
Now Barcelona want to explore the possibility of bringing the pair on loan, with the Catalan club’s financial position forcing them to concentrate on short-term deals for players who are not regular starters for their clubs.
Raheem Sterling is also reported to be on their wish list. However, his wage demands and Manchester City’s wish to keep him have forced Barcelona to switch their attention to the Chelsea duo.
Meanwhile links continue with the La Liga side and another Chelsea player, club captain, Cesar Azpilicueta, who is out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
