There is more confusion as to the future of Mohamed Elneny at Arsenal.
Over the weekend, reports emerged suggesting that the club were prepared to let him leave on a free transfer in January, with Turkish club Galatasaray apparently waiting in the wings with a contract offer for him.
His father though claims that he has been told that Arsenal want him until the end of the season when his current contract runs out.
Now there are suggestions that he is not being offered a new deal at the club for reasons that have nothing to do with football.
Previously it had been suggested that Mikel Arteta did not believe that the Egyptian did not fit his style of play, but now it appears that Elneny’s public support for the cause of Palestine may have upset some of the club’s sponsors, and they have put pressure on the Gunners not to offer him a new contract.
