Clubs queuing up for Nketiah

The number of clubs interested in signing Eddie Nketiah is steadily growing.

Leeds United, West Ham United and Crystal Palace have been joined by Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach in enquiring about his situation.

The 22-year old is in the final year of his contract at the Emirates and, although Mikel Arteta has spoken about wanting him to stay at the Emirates, there has been little progress on getting him to agree a new deal.

The record goal scorer at England under 21 level has largely been confined to appearances I the League Cup this season, scoring twice, against Wimbledon and Leeds.

If no resolution can be agreed, then the Gunners may be tempted to sell him in the January window whilst they can still command some sort of fee for him, although with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang set to miss more than a  month at the AFCON, Nketiah may be needed as cover.
