Chelsea are tracking another rising young star of German football in the form of Florian Wirtz.
The 18-year old midfielder, who plays for Bayer Leverkusen, has already drawn comparisons with Andreas Iniesta, and is drawing attention from a lot of top clubs in Europe, including Real Madrid.
Barcelona are also admirers, but their current financial situation precludes them from making any move for him.
It has been reported that Thomas Tuchel has informed his board that signing Wirtz is a transfer priority.
In the first 18 games of this season, Wirtz, who is already a starter for the Bundesliga side, has contributed seen goals and nine assists.
He would not be the first German star the Chelsea have signed from Leverkusen. In September last year they paid an initial £62 million for Kai Havertz, and he went on to score the winning goal in the Champions League final for them nine months later.

When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
