Arsenal are once again being linked with a move for Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio.
However, they could face heavy competition for the Spanish international with Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan, and Borussia Dortmund all monitoring his progress, and all are able to offer him Champions League football.
The Gunners have been here before and are reported to have offered £34 million for him in the summer, which was turned down by the Spanish club.
However, Real Madrid have now had a change of heart and are considering selling him in January.
Asensio has been unhappy with the amount of minutes he has received under Carlo Ancelotti this season, and that has led him to consider his future at the club.
A to whether the Gunners actually need him is another question. They already have Emile Smith-Rowe and Martin Ǿdegaard who they bought from Real in advanced midfield roles, and there would not appear to be a pressing need to add a third player into that mix.
