Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny is being linked with a January move to Galatasaray.
The Egyptian is out of contract at the end of the season and, having fallen out of favour at the Emirates, Arsenal are willing to let him go.
The Turkish side could wait until the end of the season and sign him as a free agent, but they want to bring him in before the end of the current campaign.
It is reported that they have already agreed personal terms with the former Basel midfielder, and have also made an offer to the Gunners, on which they are awaiting a formal response.
He is likely to miss the whole of January anyway on international duty with Egypt at the African Cup of Nations, and there have been suggestions that the deal could be completed whilst he is at the tournament.
Elneny already knows the Turkish league and Istanbul well, having spent the 2019 – 2020 season on loan with Galatasary’s local rivals Beșiktaș.
