Chelsea are ready to offer a new long-term deal to Mason Mount which will make him one of the highest earners at the club.
The 22-year old academy graduate penned his last deal in July 2019, at a time when he had yet to make his Premier League debut for the club.
However, he has since become an integral member of Thomas Tuchel’s squad, contributing 17 goals and 16 assists from 116 appearances.
He has also become an established England international under Gareth Southgate, and has already got 26 full caps to his name, scoring four times for his country.
Now Chelsea want to reward him for the progress he ahs made, and, although he still has two years left on hs current deal want to ensure that there is no contract speculation around his future.
They also are keen to ensure that he feels appreciated, given that they are also seeking to negotiate new terms with several other players at the same time.
