Arsenal are among the clubs interested in Southampton winger Mohamed Elyounoussi after his impressive start to the season.
The 27-year old joined the Saints from FC Basel in 2018, but after struggling to adapt initially to life in the Premier League, he was loaned out ot Celtic.
That proved to be the making of him, and his seven goals and six assists helped power them to a domestic treble.
Although the team struggled in his second season with them, his own numbers improved and he scored 17 times and assisted eight more for the Hoops.
Returning to St. Mary’s this summer, he has already made six goal contributions in seven Premier League starts, and that has inevitably helped raise his profile.
Elyounoussi is a Norwegian international who has 37 senior caps for hs country. Should he move to the Emirates h would join his international captain, Martin Ǿdegaard, at the club.
