Newcastle United are plotting a double transfer swoop on Chelsea when the January transfer window open.
Ross Barkley has, allegedly already been offered to the newly enriched club by representatives, whilst Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been added to a list of short-term realistic targets.
The pair were both sent out on loan last season and have not had much playing time recently, although Loftus-Cheek was in the starting line-up for the trip to Brentford on Saturday.
Barkley, though, would appear to have no future at Stamford Bridge under Thomas Tuchel and, although he is under contract until 2023, the club would certainly be prepared to listen for offers for him.
For all the riches that they now have at their disposal, Newcastle’s immediate priority is to stay in the Premier League, and they are expected to spend big in January in a bid to strengthen their squad.
