Chelsea are plotting a free transfer move for Inter Milan defender Marcelo Brozović.
The Croatian international is into the final year of his current deal at the San Siro, and his contractual situation has attracted the attention of several clubs across Europe, although Inter would like to retain his services if possible.
He is reported to be happy in Italy, but has made his wage demands known. He is currently seeking around £100,000 a week, and, if the Serie A club are not prepared to match that, then he is ready to move on next summer.
The pressure is on Inter to make a deal with him sooner rather than later, because he is free to talk to foreign clubs in January, and even sign a pre-contract agreement with them.
And, with Chelsea ready to offer him an attractive package to ;lure him to Stamford Bridge, the player may be tempted to just let his existing contract run down.
