Hector Bellerín does not want to return to Arsenal when his current loan spell ends.
He joined La Liga side Real Betis on transfer day, having fallen behind Calum Chambers in the pecking order under Mikel Arteta last season.
Since then, the club have signed Japanese international Takehiro Tomiyasu to play in the position of both o them and he has already made a strong start to life in North London. The club’s supporters voted him their Player of the Month for September.
The Spanish international supported Betis as a boy, and he has already dropped hints that he wants to stay with the Seville-based club beyond the end of this season, telling a local paper “if I didn’t want to be here next year, I wouldn’t have come from the beginning”.
The 26-year old is under contract in North London until 2023, but does not appear part of Mikel Arleta’s future plans, with an ACL injury robbing him of the yard of pace that had made him such an exciting prospect when he first burst into the team.
