Inter confident of Lacazette deal

Inter Milan are increasingly confident they can secure the services of Alexander Lazaette in January.

The Serie A champions want to supplement their forward options after selling Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea just before the summer transfer window closed.

They are also interested in Lacazette’s team-mate, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but recognise that the Frenchman might be more easily attainable in the short-term.

The 30-year old is into the final year of his current deal at the Emirates and there seems no inclination on the side of either player or club for his stay to be extended.

He has had to be content with a place ion the bench this season, although he has scored in both the league cup ties which they have played so far this season.

Given how long he has left in his deal, Arsenal can expect only a nominal fee for Lacazette, but given the prospect of getting his £150,000 a week wages off their books, will still look favourably on an Inter approach.
