Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has been linked with a string of clubs as he looks to leave the Gunners.
He was on the verge of securing a move to Crystal Palace before the transfer deadline day, but, despite the clubs agreeing a price, he was unable to reach a similar agreement on personal terms. Palace signed Odisonne Edouard from Celtic instead.
22-year old Nketiah, England’s record scorer at under-21 level, is into the fianl year of his current deal at the Emirates, and, confined largely to a squad role position, he wants to leave to play regular first-team football.
Leeds – with whom he had a brief spell on loan two years ago, = Aston Villa, and Brentford are among the clubs monitoring hs situation, and he may be sold in January so that the Gunners can realise some value for him and also to give highly rated Folarin Balogun more minutes on the pitch.
