Chelsea and Liverpool are both interested in signing Newcastle winger Allan Saint-Maximin.
The Frenchman has proved to be one of the bright spots in what has otherwise been a dismal season so far for Steve Bruce’s side, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
He is under contract at St. James Park until 2026, but that has not stopped him being linked with a move elsewhere, and was linked with a £40 million move to Everton in the summer.
In the end, Newcastle were able to hang on to the 24-year old, who is a fan favourite, but he has made no secret of the fact that he wants to be challenging for major trophies.
And, given that its unlikely to happen with his current club – unless their much vaunted takeover goes through – it is only a matter of time before he starts agitating for a move away from the North East.
