Antonio Rüdiger could be in line to become one of the highest paid defenders in the world if he turns down the offer of a new deal with Chelsea.
The 28-year old German is out of contract at the end of the season, which means that he is free to begin discussions with foreign clubs and sign a pre-contract agreement with one of them in January.
And already several clubs are jostling for his services, with both Bayern Munich and Juventus ready to snap him up.
Knowing they will not have to pay a transfer fee, both clubs are ready to tempt him with a bumper pay packet, which could be worth up to £400,000 a week for Rüdiger.
That is considerably more than is currently on offer at Chelsea, who have so far offered him £130,000 a week if he signs a new deal with them.
Summer signing Romelu Lukaku is currently the best paid player at Stamford Bridge with a weekly wage of £350,000.
