Chelsea may be ready to sell defender Antonio Rüdiger in January, against the wishes of coach Thomas Tuchel.
The German international is in the final year of his current deal at Stamford Bridge, and wants a significant wage increase, if he is to stay in West London, with some reports suggesting he is looking to double his current wages.
With Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain all circling, he is not likely to be short of offers and he will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club in January.
Faced though with the prospect of losing him for free next summer, Chelsea are not prepared to wait that long to act.
Instead, if no resolution can be found to his contractual situation by the start of the New Year, he will be sold so at least some money can be generated from his departure, even if his coach wants hint to stay.
