Chelsea are ready to begin talks with midfielder Mason Mount about a new deal at the club.
His existing contract at Stamford Bridge still has three years left to run, but they are keen to reward him for the progress he has made, not only becoming a first-team regular but an established England international.
Mount joined the club aged just six, and first made his name on loan in the Championship with Derby County where he played under Frank Lampard. When Lampard took over in West London, he installed him in the team and he ahs continued to perform at a high level under his successor Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel has lauded both his talent and his personality, and his sheer love of playing football,.
Now he is set for a bumper new deal with talks between Mount and his representatives, which include his father, set to commence shortly. It is not believed there will be any issues from either side.
