Chelsea have been linked with two defenders from Inter Milan, Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Škriniar.
22-year old Bastoni is a centre-back who has earned seven international caps for Italy, and featured in their winning squad at this summer’s Euros. Fellow centre-back Škriniar meanwhile, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League before, with both Manchester United and Tottenham among the clubs to track him, has played 46 times for Slovenia.
The Premier League side are still looking to add defensive reinforcements, with Antonio Rüdiger prevaricating about signing a new deal at the club.
And they may also be ready to reignite their interest in Sevilla’s Jules Koundé once the transfer window opens again, having missed out on signing him in the summer.
