Arsenal ready to offer Wilshere a lifeline

Arsenal are ready to offer former player Jack Wilshere a lifeline.

The 29-year old, who made 197 appearances for the Gunners is currently without a club, as he tries to convince prospective employers that he is over the injury problems that have dogged what once promised to be a glittering career.

Having last played on loan with Bournemouth last season, he was linked with a move to Italy, and Como, who play in Serie B, but that fell through over EU passport issues.

Now Arsenal have said that he is free to train with  the club any time, as he continues his battle for fitness and they have not ruled out completely signing him again if he impresses.

As he isa  free agent, he can be signed outside the transfer window.

Wilshere left Arsenal for West Ham, the club he supported as a boy, but has subsequently admitted this was a mistake and that he should have stayed and fought for his place at the Emirates.
