Arsenal are being linked with a move for Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri.
The Gunners are looking to find a replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is the highest paid player at the Emirates, having signed a new three year deal with the Gunners.
However, his last campaign was his least successful in North London, due toa combination of loss of form, illness and off the field personal problems, and there are concerns that his performance levels are beginning to drop off.
He missed the first two games of this season with Covid, returned by scoring a League Cup hat-trick against West Bromwich Albion, but then was part of the team that got mauled by Manchester City in Arsenal’s last match before the international break.
En-Nesyri, who still has four years left on his current deal with Sevilla, is a Moroccan international. He is 24 years old and has scored 32 goals in 81 appearances for the la Liga side.
Andy is an exiled English football fan living in Cyprus. He loves all sports but football is his abiding passion, and he still has dreams every now and then about scoring the winning goal in a Wembley Cup Final, even though his playing days are long gone. He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
