Roma, having already signed Tammy Abraham. Are considering making a bid for another Chelsea player in the form of midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The Serie A club are reported to be working on a loan deal with an option to buy the 25-year old.
Roma’s new manager Jose Mourinho is looking for a creative midfielder and he has turned his attention to Loftus-Cheek, a player he briefly worked with during his second spell at Stamford Bridge.
Loftus-Cheek is back at Chelsea this campaign, having spent last season on loan with West London rivals, Fulham. However, given the competition for places ahead of him, he is not in the first-team picture and will be allowed to leave if the right offer comes in for him.
Abraham moved to Italy on a £34 million deal and earned a standing ovation from the Roam fan s after providing two assists in his debut on Sunday.
