Technical Director Edu may be the man to pay the price for Arsenal’s terrible start to the season.
At the heart of the issue has been his ability -or otherwise – to manage outgoings as well as arrivals at the club, with his perceived closeness to certain agents raising eyebrows in some quarters.
Since became the first man to hold the position at the club, over £300 million has been spent on new players, but only £80 million of that has been recouped in sales.
Instead, there have been several instances when players have effectively been paid to leave the club.
A case in point is Brazilian winger, Willian, who was given a three year deal on £220,000 a week at the start of the last season, but now looks set to leave before the transfer window shuts.
