Crystal Palace may be ready to bid for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, despite the fact that he is currently injured.
Nketiah last season broke Alan Shearer’s record of goals for England and under-21 level;, but has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates behind both Gabriel Martinelli and Folarin Balogun, with whom he shares an agent.
The injury, which he picked-up in pre-season, and which is expected to keep him out of action until September, has made selling him more difficult in the current window, but Palace may be ready to take a chance on him as they look to add more firepower to an attack that has failed to score so far this season.
They may face competition though from an unnamed team in Germany, with reports suggest that the Gunners, who value the player at around £20 million, have already turned down two bids for him.
