Former Arsenal and Chelsea defender David Luiz, is wanted by Brazilian side Flamengo.
The 34-year old is a free agent after leaving the Gunners at the end of last season, with the Gunners decided not to renew his contract.
Luiz began his senior career in Brzil with Vittoria before heading to Europe to Benfica. He subsequently had two spells with Chelsea, sandwiched between a big money move to Paris and PSG.
He joined Arsenal in the summer of 2019 and helped them win the FA Cup in his first season at North London, although his time with the Gunners was not an unmitigated successes. He made a number of high profile errors, and was also the recipient of several red cards.
The centre-back is still open to a move to another Premier League club, but given his high wages, there are few who could afford to meet his salary expectations.

He loves all sports but football is his abiding passion, and he still has dreams every now and then about scoring the winning goal in a Wembley Cup Final, even though his playing days are long gone. He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
