Chelsea are mulling over whether to buy another midfielder in the transfer window.
Currently their only major acquisition has been Romelu Lukaku, although a deal for Sevilla defender Jules Koundé may still be pushed through if the Kurt Zouma position can be resolved,
However, there is still the possibility they may add one more name in the middle of the park, with Atlético Madrid and Spanish international Saul Ñiguez a possible target.
Ñiguez has been offered toa host of Premier League clubs, and his representatives are believed to have held talks with both Liverpool and Manchester United earlier in the window.
Chelsea though are unlikely to make a move unless there is a possibility for a bargain. They already have a wealth of talent at their disposal in the midfield area, and given the difficult task of giving present incumbents enough game tome to keep them happy will be a challenge, Thomas Tuchel does not want to add to his selection headaches further.
