Arsenal to focus on outgoings

Having now completed the signings of Martin Ǿdegaard and Aaron Ramsdale, Arsenal have now concluded their incoming business for the summer.

The focus onwhat is left of the transfer window is to try and trim the squad at the Emirates, which is considered too big given that the club does not have European football this season.

That could see deals for the likes of Hector Bellerín, Sead Kolasinac, Lucas Torreira and Reiss nelson all concluded in the next week or so, although, if no permanent buyers can be found, loan deals may have to be arranged.

So far the only two established players who have left the club this summer have been Matteo Guendouzi, who has joined Marseille on loan, although with a compulsory obligation to buy, and Joe Willock, who was sold to Arsenal.

The Gunners, like many clubs, are finding it hard to shift players in a market that continues to be affected by the financial knock-ons of the Covid pandemic.
