Chelsea have been linked with a move for Monaco midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni.
They are in the market for a new defensive midfielder, and, although Declan Rice is their preferred target, West Ham do not want to sell him at this stage and have slapped a £100 million price tag in his head.
Tchouaméni is regarded as a cheaper alternative, and he was also on the radar of Manchester United. However, United have now decided that they will not be making a move for the 21-year old this summer.
Signed by Monaco from Bordeaux in January 2020 for a fee of £16 million, Tchouaméni was named as Ligue 1 Young Palter of the Year last season and made the second mots tackles of any player in the division.
The French under-21 international currently has three years left on his existing deal with the Ligue 1 side and is valued at around £27 million.
