Chelsea are set to open talks with defender Trevoh Chalobah after his impressive start to the season.
The 22-year old impressed during pre-season and featured in the European Super Cup win over Villareal.
Last weekend he was handed his Premier League debut, and scored in the 3 – 0 win over Crystal Palace.
Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of Chalobah and has already said that he does not want him to go on loan this season.
That was despite interest in him from a number of clubs, including several in the Premier League and Lille and Valencia were also tracking his situation.
He has less than two years left in his current deal at Stamford Bridge, but now it looks like his immediate future will remain in West London.
The England under-21 international is the younger brother of Nathaniel Chalobah who also began his career at Chelsea, but now plays for Watford.
