Tottenham are the latest club to express an interest in signing Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma.
The Blues have been trying to use the French international as a makeweight in a deal to bring Sevilla centre-back Jules Koundé to the club.
However, Zouma prefers to stay in the Premier League and London, and West Ham have been tracking his situation, although the size of transfer fee, and his wages, could prove a stumbling block for the Hammers.
Now it looks like Spurs may also be ready to throw their hat into the ring.
Spurs have already signed defender Cristian Romero on a season’s long loan, with an option to buy for £47 million more, but they are seeking further defensive reinforcements, and are also interested in Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenković.
Zouma is under contract until 2023 and, if he cannot get the move that he wants in the current window, is reported to be happy to sit on the bench and collect his wages
