Left-back Sead Kolasinac is set to depart Arsenal in the next week.
The Bosnian international is close to agreeing a deal to join Turkish side Fenerbahçe.
That could mean a link-up with former friend and teammate Mesut Ozil.
It was Kolasinac who came to Ozil’s aid when the former World Cup winner was the target of an attempted street robbery in North London two years ago.
Ozil scored his first goal in 18 months at the weekend against Adana Demirspoor.
Kolasinac spent the second half of last season on loan at German club Schalke but returned to the Emirates following their relegation at the end of last season, with the club unable to afford his wages in the second division.
He is very much surplus to requirements under Mikel Arteta, with Kieran Tierney the established number one, whilst Nuno Tavares has been signed from Benfica. both to understudy him, and to provide competition to the Scot.
