Chelsea trio told to find new clubs

Chelsea have told the trio of Tiemoué Bakayoko, Ross Barkley, and Danny Drinkwater to find new clubs.

And, to underline the message, the three have not even been allocated squad numbers for the season ahead.

Bakayoko is already in talks with Lyon, although there is also interest from AC Milan and Napoli, who he previously had a loan spell with in Serie A.

However, the other two may be struggling for takers.

Barkley spent last season on loan with Aston Villa, but, after starting brightly with them, injuries and  a loss of form saw him relegated to the bench and they declined the option to sign him permanently.

Drinkwater has not played a competitive match for Chelsea for more than three years, and has since had loan spells with Burnley, Aston Villa and Galatasaray, although his time away from Stamford Bridge ahs been marred by disciplinary issues off the pitch.
