Abraham closing in on Roma move

Tammy Abraham has had his medical with Roma and is closing in on a £34 million move to the Serie A side.

The England international has found himself on the fringes at Stamford Bridge since the appointment of Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea manager, And the arrival of Romelu Lukaku meant that his chances of first-team football this season under the German were minimal.

Abraham was the subject of late interest from Arsenal, a move he is reported to have preferred because he is a Gunners fan. However, with them either to shift Alexander Lacazette or Eddie Nketiah in the current transfer window, and with their available funds seemingly earmarked for Martin Ǿdegaard, they do not have the money to bid for him.

Roam are in the market for a striker to replace Edin Dzeko, who has moved to Inter Milan to fill the gap left by Lukaku, as the football merry go-round continues.
