Arsenal turn attention to Neto

Arsenal have now switched their attention  to Barcelona keeper Neto as they continue to search for a back-up to Bernd Leno for the season ahead.

The Ginners had been linked with a move for Aaron Ramsdale of Sheffield United, but with the two clubs remaining stubbornly far apart when to the valuation of the 23-year-old, they have been forced to turn their attention elsewhere.

And now they are hoping to take advantage of the financial turmoil at Barcelona to do a cut price deal for the Brazilian.

Having been unable to register Lionel Messi because that would have breached Spanish FFP regulations, the Catalans still need to make further substantial salary reductions if they want to meet La Liga’s salary cap.

That could see then agree to loan the 32-year old to the Emirates for the season ahead, or they may be able to buy him for little money, just so that Barcelona can get his wages off the books.
