Arsenal winger Willian has been linked with a departure from the Emirates in the current transfer window.
A free transfer from Chelsea last summer, he agreed a three year deal with Arsenal on big wages, However, he has proved to be a huge disappointment and failed to deliver in his first season at the club, scoring just one goal, a free kick against West Brom towards the end of the season.
Gunners’ fans were unhappy about the amount of first-team minutes he was given, considering his lack of end product and the fact that he appeared to slow down the team’s attacking momentum.
He was not even in the Arsenal squad for their last pre-season friendly against Tottenham at the weekend, and it is highly unlikely he will be in the team for the Premier League opener against Brentford in Friday night.
Willian has previously been linked with moves to the MLS and the Middle East, although his wages are likely to be a stumbling block to any deal.
