Roma have agreed a fee to sign Tammy Abraham from Chelsea.
The Serie A side have agreed to pay £34 million for the England international.
Abraham was Chelsea’s top scorer last season, but found himself marginalised once Thomas Tuchel took over as manager,
And, with the impending arrival of Romelu Lukaku, his first-team minutes at Stamford Bridge are likely to be even more limited in the campaign ahead.
Roma are in the market for a new striker because of the chain reaction that the Lukaku move has prompted. To replace him, Inter Milan are bringing in Edin Dzeko, the former Manchester City striker, meaning that Roma now have a vacancy in their forward line that needs to be filled.
Jose Mourinho will know Abraham well from his time as Chelsea manager when he was coming through their academy system.
The 23-year old Londoner will be hoping that the move can kick start his England career once more.
