Crystal Palace are interested in signing Arsenal forward Reiss Nelson on loan ahead of the new season.
The Gunners are open to allowing the 21-year old academy graduate to leave in the summer in search of regular first-team football, as his game time at the Emirates is likely to be limited, especially as the club is not involved in European football this season.
Nelson made nine appearances in all competitions last season, but barely featured for the first-team in the second half of the campaign. He has two years left on his current contract at the Emirates.
Palace have one Premier League place left in their squad for loan players, having already secured the short-term services of Conor Gallagher from Chelsea. And now they are hoping that Nelson will be the man to take the other one.
This would not be Nelson’s first loan spell. As an 18-year old, he made the switch to the Bundesliga and Hoffenheim, where he started well, before later fading.
