Chelsea are stepping-up their efforts to sign Jules Koundé from Sevilla.
In their latest attempt to broker a deal for the French international deal, they have offered Brazilian Kenedy in part-exchange for their one of their main targets.
The Champions League winners are reported to have agreed personal terms with the defender and are now trying to reach an accommodation with his club over price.
Kenedy is something of a forgotten man at Chelsea and many of the club’s fans can be forgiven if they have forgotten he is still on their books.
Since signing from Fluminense in 2015 he has made just 27 appearances for the Blues in all competitions scoring 3 times, Instead he has enjoyed a series of loan moves, first to Watford and then Newcastle United in the Premier League and, more latterly, Getafe and Granada in La Liga.
However, his time in Spain so far has not been an overwhelming success – in a combined 47 appearances for both clubs he found the net just five times.
