West Ham are refusing to meet the asking price demanded by Chelsea for defender Kurt Zouma.
The Champions League winners are ready to part with Zouma as they look to make way in their squad for Jules Koundé
They have offered him to Sevilla in part exchange for the French international, but the 26-year old prefers to stay in England.
However, although a number of Premier League clubs are interested in him, his asking price is proving to be a problem. West Ham are believed to be the front runners, but are not prepared to match Chelsea’s valuation of him which is believed to be £25 million.
In addition, there are also his wages which will be difficult for most other clubs in the league to match.
Zouma still has two years left in his current contract at Stamford Bridge, and might just be happy to stay where he is, content to pick up his money.
