West Ham are considering signing Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade Chamberlain on loan this summer.
Manager David Moyes wants Jesse Lingard, who had such an impressive loan spell with the Hammers in the second part of the season, to return on a permanent basis.
And West Bromwich Albion’s Brazilian Matheus Pereira is another name on hs wish list.
However, if he cannot get either of those, Oxlade-Chamberlain has been identified as an alternative.
The former Arsenal man has suffered from injuries in the past few years, which means that his Liverpool career has not prospered as it look that it might at one stage.
And with doubts over how many minutes that he might expect in the season ahead, Liver[pool are prepared to sanction his departure. They would prefer a permanent sale to help raise funds for their own transfer business, but might accept a loan with an option to buy.
