Xherdan Shaqiri wants to leave Liverpool this summer.
The 29-year old Swiss international has become a fringe player under Jurgen Klopp making just 22 appearances last season, many of them from the bench, and 11 the previous campaign when Liverpool lifted the league trophy.
In part this has been down to injury, but, even when fit, he is not a first-team regular.
Now he has told the club that he is ready for a new challenge, and claims that he has received a sympathetic reception and that they will not stand in hs way.
Liverpool are looking to recoup close to the £13 million they paid Stole City for him three years ago, and there are several potential suitors in the frame, with Sevilla, Villareal, Lazio and Napoli a;; interested in acquiring his services.
Shaqiri is still on hs summer break following his progress with Switzerland to the quarter-finals of the Euros.
