Toby Alderweireld is to leave Spurs.
He is set to join Qatar side Al-Duhail in a move that could be worth up to £13 million.
The Belgian international, who joined Tottenham from Southampton, had been with the club six years, but was seeking to move away in search of a fresh challenge.
The deal is subject to the defender agreeing personal terms and flying to the Middle East where he will complete a medical.
Alderweireld had been linked with a move back to his hometown club Royal Antwerp, but they had an offer for the player turned down earlier in the transfer window.
Al-Duhail are managed by former Nottingham Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi, and already have another Belgian player in their squad in the form of former Standard Liège man Edmilson Junior.
Since joining Tottenham Alderweireld has played 243times for them in all competitions and was part of the team that reached the Champions League final in 2019.
