Hakim Ziyech is wanted by AC Milan.
The Serie A club were interested in signing Everton’s James Rodriguez, but have been deterred by his wage demands. So, they have turned their attention to Ziyech because they believe their chances of signing him are more feasible.
Milan are in the market for a new playmaker, having lost Hakan Çalhanoğlu, who made the surprise decision to cross the city to join neighbours Inter.
Ziyech was Frank Lampard’s first signing as Chelsea manager after the lifting of their transfer ban, but the former Ajax star had an underwhelming first season in England, especially after Thomas Tuchel took over.
Chelsea are reported to be happy to let him go, and he could form part of a triple deal, with Milan also interested in signing his teammates Olivier Giroud and Tiemoué Bakayoko.
Any deal for Ziyech may involve a loan first, with a subsequent option to buy.
