Manager-less Tottenham have entered talks to sign Japanese defender Takehiro Tomiyasu from Italian club Bologna.
The Japanese international, who is valued at £15 million, is valued for his versatility, because he can play either as right-back or as centre-half.
The 22 year old, who has 23 senior caps for his country., begam his career in his native Japan with Avispa Fukuoka, before securing a move to Europe with the Belgian club Sint-Truiden.
Bologna signed him for €9 million (£8 million) two years ago, and he ahs gone on to make 63 appearances for them, scoring three times.
