Lazio want to sign Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira this summer.
The Uruguayan international joined the Gunners form Sampdoria in 2016, but after a promising start at the Emirates, struggled under Unai Emery, and then injury further hampered his progress under his successor Mikel Arteta.
He was sent on loan to Atlético Madrid last season, but despite being part of the squad that won the league title, mainly had to content himself with a place on the bench, playing just 722 minutes in all competitions.
Following the death of his mother from Covid earlier this year, Torreira made an emotional plea to Arsenal to allow him to go back to South America, but now it looks like a return to Serie A is in the cards instead.
The Italian club are prepared to pay €15 million for him,. either in two instalments, or as an initial loan with a subsequent option to buy.
