Norwich want to sign Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour on loan next season.
Now back in the Premier League again, the East Anglian club want to boost their midfield options and believe that the young Scot can add a spark of creativity to the team.
Last season they took Oliver Skipp on loan from Tottenham, and he played a big part in their promotion campaign,. But they are unsure whether they can persuade the North London club to let him play a second campaign with them, especially as Spurs are still without a manager. .
Gilmour starred for Scotland in the draw with England last week, but was forced to miss their fianl group game with Croatian after he tested positive for Covid.
The 20-year old is highly rated at Stamford Bridge, but with competition for places intense, Norwich are hoping that the opportunity they can offer of regular first-team football will help with his development.
