Manchester United’s pursuit of Atlético Madrid and England full-back Kieran Trippier could be frustrated.
That is after news emerged that PSG could be ready to make a move for the 30-year old, who is seeking to leave the La Liga club after two years in Spain.
And that would mean a reunion for Trippier with his former boss Mauricio Pochettino, the man under whom he played his best football whilst in a Tottenham shirt.
United are in the market for another full-back who can give them more options in the attacking third of the pitch.
But PSG may have the edge over them if it develops into a transfer battle, because they have the financial resources to offer Atlético closer to the £43 million that they want for a player who still has two years left to run on hs current contract.
Trippier played as a left-back in England’s opening group game against Croatia in the Europos, but was an unused substitute in the disappointing draw against Scotland,
