Tottenham are in talks with former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte to be their next manager.
The Italian left his job with Inter Milan two weeks ago, despite leading them to their first Serie A title in a decade, over the demands of the Chinese owners for cost savings and the sale of key players.
There are suggestions that Conte could yet be appointed along with his former Juventus colleague Fabio Paratici, who is In discussions about the director of football role in North London.
Spurs are still holding out hopes they can persuade ex-manager Mauricio Pochettino to join them once more from PSG, but the French side have made it clear they are not prepared to release somebody who only joined them in January.
Pochettino had also been linked with the vacant Real Madrid job, but that has now been taken by Carlo Ancelotti, as the managerial merry go-round gets into full swing.
