Mauricio Pochettino could make a surprise return as Tottenham manager.
And, if he does so, the Argentine could persuade Harry Kame to stay at the club for another 12 months.
The Argentine was sacked by Spurs in November 2019, and, after taking time out of the game, returned as manager of PSG in January.
However, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, has since regretted firing him, especially as the gamble on Jose Mourinho failed to work out.
What has suddenly made his return possible is the emergence on the job market of Zinedine Zidane, who resigned as Real Madrid manager on Thursday.
He had been linked with another of his former clubs in Juventus, but they have decided to sign former boss Max Allegri instead. Zidane has legendary status in France as a World Cup winner, and is thought to be one of the few man who could handle what has been described as an impossible job.
With Zidane indicating that he wants to work again as soon as possible, that could pave the way for s return of Pochettino.
