Liverpool defender Rhys Williams is likely to be loaned out by Liverpool next season.
The England under-21 international was drafted into the Liverpool first-team last season after the crop of injuries ruled out a number of regular starters. And he finished the season having made 18 appearances in all competitions, playing a big role in the run-in that helped the club secure Champions League football.
Together with Nat Phillips, Williams started the last five league games of the season,
Despite that, with the imminent arrival of Ibrahima Connate from RB Leipzig, and the expected return to fitness of the likes of Virgil van Dyck and Joe Gomez, William’s first-team opportunities at Anfield next season are anticipated to be few and far between.
Instead, the 20-year old will be loaned out toa club where he can expect to play regularly.
During the 2019 – 2020 season, Williams made 26 appearances on loan for the National League North side Kidderminster Harriers.
